In the Oruru Hall, last Friday night, a dance waa held, the proceeds of which went to the repairing of the Oruru School Tennis Courts. Jhe attendance of dancers was not large, owing to the adverse weather conditions, but all who were present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. In the Monte Carlo waltz competition Miss Rogers and Mr. B. Harrison were the successful couple. Snappy music was supplied by the Ritz Orchesra and an extra was played by Messrs. E. Garton (piano) and J. Garton (violin). Mr. Grant performed the duties of M, C. in no mean style. During an interval in the dances a splendid supper was handed round by the Oruru ladies, after which dancing continued.
