Mr. McKay kindly allowed us the free use of his hall and there we, sixieen girls, enjoyed ihe best and most profitable four days of the year. Miss Thomas, Pres. Deaconess from Okaihau was Camp Mother, other officers being, Chief Officer—Miss G McCullough, Sports Officer—Miss M. Stone, Auckland, Commissariat—Miss Doris Thomas, Trea. surer Miss Pubi Coulter, Secretary— Miss Evelyn Chapman Mrs. T. Taylor of Paranui kindly acted as Camp-Cook. On Good Friday, Rev. Martin of Kaitaia and Rev. D. Hickman of Rawene came over and conducted a most impressive Communion Service in the Methodist Church. Each morning was devoted to study—ihe subject being—“ Ihe Power and the Glory.” A special camp seivice was conducted on Sunday morning by Sister Thomas, in the Church, and in the evening all attended the Anglican Service conducted by Rev. Piyor Williams. A picnic was held at Coopers Beach and Mr. McKay arranged a launch excursion round the beautiful Mangonuj Harbour. Owing to the wet weather the Sports were held in the Hall and the pennant competed for, was won by the Fairburn Class with Takahue as runners up. Our best thanks are due to all friends for their many kindnesses, in gifts of vegetables and fruit, to Mr. McKay for his generosity, to Mr. R. Foster for the use of his shack for the kitchen, to Miss Stone, who brought all our ramp literature and to the Dearoness who made such an efficient Camp Mother. “CAMP” (BY Y.WBC.)
