Although the fielding was not over keen, the match on the whole was satisfactory, a number of players, including some of the younger ones, giving attractive exhibitions, with the bat. Sowter was in good form with both bat and ball, scoring 61 retired, and taking 6 wickets. H. Dunn showed he was still capable of making runs, with 44 retired. Other good scores for the married men were, Waddell 24, Moyes 22 and Moore 18. For the single men Bradford 19, R. Werner 18, and I. Black 16, knocked up useful scores. During an interval in the play Mr. T. S. Houston, patron of the Club, presented to Mr. S. Johnston, the winner, a medal donated by Mr. R.
