LABOUR DAY
Labour Day kept up its reputation for bad weather again this year, and the first summer holiday \vas anything but summer-like—cold and damp, with occasional driving showers. The opening of the Kaitaia tennis season was perforce adjourned to this Saturday. The bowlers and the croquet players however, proceeded with their programmes in spite of the weather conditions.
