FINE DAY’S SPORT. RECORD CROWD ATTENDS. A FINANCIAL SUCCESS. A beautifully fine day, a fast track in good condition and efficient organisation combined to make the Waipapakauri Racing Club’s Meeting last Saturday a success in every way.

The attendance was easily a record, and the meeting was a financial success. It was a poor day for bettors, however; due to the good condition of the track, it was a for fast horses, and favourites were in winning mood, with the result that dividends were practically all small, second places in particular frequently returning discounts.
