(To the Editor) Sir, —The action of the directors of the Kaitaia Dairy Company in supporting foreign countries for the requirements of the factory and the supplies, calls for strong condemnation from the suppliers. Some time ago a churn of foreign make was installed at the factory and another of similar make has now been added. According to the latest circular the company has taken the agency for a foreign separator when separators, superior in every way and manufactured within the British Empire, could have been handled by the company. Britain is our principal market for our dairy produce, and every endeavour should be made to buy British goods when possible. The dairy factory directors are well able to give a lead in this direction which would have a boomerang effect to our benefit. I am, etc. G. Hodgson.
