SOUTH AMERICAN MEAT.
SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN AND EUROPE. Cabled advice received by the N.Z. Meat Producers’ Board from its Buenos Aires representative states the following quantities ot meat were shipped to the United Kingdom from the Argentine and Uruguay for the fortnight ended November 21 1929. The figures do not include the shipments from Patagonia, Chile or Brazil: — 159J50 Quarters Chilled Beef, 4,150 „ Frozen ~ 81,561 Carcases Frozen Mutton, 200,446 „ „ Lamb. The quantity shipped to the Continent of Europe during the same period was as follows : 59,435 Quarters Frozen Beef, 8,269 Carcases Frozen Mutton, 1,260 Carcases Frozen Lamb.
