HONORARIA OF M.P.’S
BATEPAYERSIOPPOSE INCREASE FUNDS NOT AVAILABLE FOR NECESSARY WORKS
The increase in the honoraria of M.P.’s came in for sharp criticism at the meeting ot the Kaitaia branch of the County Ratepayers’ Association on November nineteenth. A resolution was carried unanimously protesting against the extra honoraria paid to members of Parliament at a time when funds for the execution of local works and for other necessary purposes cannot be provided.
