High School Assured.
The high school for which Kaitaia has been fighting for some years past is now assured. Definite advice has been received by the school committee that a secondary department at the local school has been approved, and tenders are to be called almost immediately for the erection of an additional room to provide the necessary accommodation. It is hoped to have the addition completed when the school reopens after’the Christmas holidays.
It is also proposed to erect two additional rooms which will be the nucleus of a separate infant school.
