Letter re Account Messrs 1 louston—Matthews : That the Board advise the Public Wotks Department that the Minder ut Health has not yet visited tliis distiict and no conference has been held with reference to the claim for installing engine at lilt Kaitaia Hospital. Dr. Cameron —Engagement of Sister Messrs Cosson Mclntosh : That Dr. Cameron’s action in engaging a Sister temporarily be endorsed. Fence Repairs. Messrs Cosson —Kitchen : That Messrs Matthews and Barriball be authorised to arrange for the repair of the fence on the propertv occupied by Dr Cameron. Hot Water Service Messrs Houston —Michie: That Messrs Matthews and Barriball be instructed to obtain the information required by A & T Burt with reference to hot water service at Mangonui. Messrs Houston —Evans: That the Board procure a Beeston Boiler, £n-lo- and copper cylintler—£9 and necessary fittings for Mangonui Hospital. Donations Messrs Houston —’Cosson : That the Board acknowledge with thanks donations to the Kaitaia Hospitai as follows : Maori Bay, A & P Association Show —Vegetables etc. Harvest Festivnl —Fruit and Vegetables. V rious Doners —Old Linen. Dranage—Mangonui Messrs Houston -Michie : That tenders be called for the drainage work in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted, lenders to he returnable on the 21st May 1029. Fumigating Room t Messrs Houston —Evans ; That Messrs Matthews and Barriball arrange for the replacement of the lumigating room at Mangonui. /recounts M essrs Cosson Matthews : That the accounts as read totalling £583-10-5 be passed for payment. Tenders —Firewood Mangonui Messrs Barriball —Matfhews : That tenders be called, returnable on tha 21st May, for the supply of 25 cords ot white Ti Tree firewood in 4ft lengths properly stacked at the Mangonui Hospital. Nurses Quarters —Kaitaia Messrs Cosson —Michie: That the Board write to the Minister of Health pointing out the urgency of outside accommodation for the staff at Kaitaia Hospital. Notice of Motion—Amending By-Laws Mr Mclntosh gave notice to move the following resolution at the next meeting of the Board That By-Law No 2 of (he ByLaws of the Mangonui Hospital Board shall be amended by deleting therefrom the words “and the Matron of any institution and the Secretary” and by substituting thercler the following words “of aVy instutinn, the Matron ol any inanition, the Secretary, any House Surgeon attached to any institution and any Anaesthetist to be appointed to any instution.”

Temporary Nurses Ouarters ' Messrs Michie —Cosson : That tenders be secured for the erection of a building on runners, 14ft by 12lt,iron outside, fined with Beaver board, gable roof, one window and one door, and that the Chairman, Mr Mclntosh and the Secretary be a sub-committee 10 consider such tenders and accept one. Stove and Heater Messrs Mclntosh—Matthews : That the Board purchase for the Kataia Hosgitul a two-burner Superfex Perfection stove, a Perfection Heater, and blinds required for the verandah windows.
