If Mr Kitchen is sincere in his wish to have a platform debate on the matter 1 have much pleasure in accepting his challenge and that the following be the conditions: The debate to take place in the Northland Hall, Kaitaia on Monday evening, May 6th at 8 p.m. That Mr Alec Wright of Takahue act in the capacity of Chairman. That a silver collection be taken at the door, the balance after paying hall hire, to be expended in buying magazines and books for the two hospitals That Mr Kitchen being the challenger open the debate. And finally —that tjie debate be entirely between Mr Kitchen and myself. I am etc Thos. S, Houston,
