Hospital Board Election To the Ratepayers Mangonui County Ladies and Gentlemen, At the request of a large number of ratepayers throughout the whole County, I have consented to be nominated for the forthcoming Hospital Board Election. ft returned, my policy shall be a continuation of that which has obtained during the past three years. The finances of the Board are sound and well in credit. Careful supervision of patients’ fees and outstanding accounts has resulted in a collection of £IBOO in 1927-28 and £1773 in 1928-29. That the interests of the ratepayers have been carefully considered is proved by the fact that the rate has been reduced from twopence to one penny and three eighths in the pound. Full and careful enquiries are made in the matter of all applications for Charitable Aid, and all deserving cases helped. 1 belong to no ticket —and will continue to do my best tor the sick and destitute throughout the whole county, and at the same time, carefully safeguard the ratepayers’ interests. I remain, Yours respectfully, Thos. S. HoustonAhioara April 26, 1929. FOR EXCHANGE CAR —5 seater, will exchange for cattle up to £SO. Send particulars to “Car”, Guardian Office.
