Mr and Mrs Timms.
Farewelled at Fairburn Wednesday afternoon, the 15th mst., was spent at the Fairburn school to say goodbye to Mr and Mrs Timms. Mr W. Christensen presided. Songs ?and recitations were given by the school children. In wishing Mr and Mrs Timms farewell, the chairman spoke at some length of Mr Timms as a teacher. It was a difficult matter to please everyone, Mr Timms had brought the children on well, and judging by the education returns, he had carried out his work satisfactorily. Mr and Mrs Timms were presented with a travelling rug by the people of the district. The children also made their teacher a presentation. In responding to the good wishes expressed by the various speakers Mr Timms on behalf of his wife and himself thanked the people for their presents and good wishes.
