Wedding Bells
Longe—-King Dr Longe, Superintendent of the Whangaroa Hospital and Miss King formerly Matron of this hospital were married in Auckland on Monday and returned to Whangaroa by the Clansman. A great many friends saw them safely aboard the Clansman, but the residents of, Whangaroa believed the happy medico and his charming bride were coming overland and it was only when the good ship hove in sight with bunting flying and the blowing of the vessel siren that the people realised that the bridal couple were aboard. There was a good muster on the wharf as Dr and Mrs Longe left the ship and they were greeted with confetti and rice in abundance. It was a great homecoming.
