The March of Progress.

Publishing Twice a Week. Only Bi-weekly in the Northland. Service to the Community. Ever since its inception the “Northland Age” has striven to render service to the people in the Northland and from time to time has made improvements which could not fail to be of vaine to those who have laboured in this remote part of the Dominion. Some months ago the “Age’ was presented as a twelve page weekly replete with adequate and accurate reports of all local gatherings and the doings of our public men. lhe response from the settlers has been such that we have been able to make arrangements which will enable us to take another step forward. To-day we publish the “Age” as a bi-weekly eight-page newspaper. In future our subscribers will receive the ‘Age” on Wednesday and Friday each week, when it will contain in addition to reports of local happenings, news from abroad having brief interesting accounts of world happenings. An important feature of this progressive policy will be that each copy of the -‘Age” wilt be sold over the counter at twopence per copy and in cases where the paper is poster to: übscribers the price will be twopence per copy with postage added. We trust ith he advancement of time that the do is not far distant when the “Age” wii. be published as a tri-weekly, and that it will continue to work in the interest 01 the advancement ot the Northland ana the betterment of its people.
