Colonial Secretary’s Speech.
At State Luncheon. Reminiscences of the War. (Special ta Age) Wellington, this day Mr Amery was tendered a State Luncheon in the Wellington Town Hall and in an inspiring speech he showed how England proved her right to the retention of the leadership of the Empire, and recalled how she fought and won during the dark years of war. He concluded with the prediction that with the resources of the Empire and the quality and character of its people it would be difficult to put a Unit on the prosperity and development that would occur.
