It is to be . recommended to the North Auckland Conference at its annual meeting in Whangarei, that all shield matches be played out. A lengthy discussion took place on the best way lo select our strongest re XI, the following ultimately being decided upon. Mr F J Matthews was appointed sole selector, to choose sixteen players, the Association delegates then pick the rep skipper from that number, and the skipper then assists the selector in choosing the Xl. It was decided to commence competition matches at 10.30 and and to draw stumps at 5 unless otherwise arranged by respective captains.
