Ever since its inception the “Northland Age” has striven to render service to the petple in the Northland and from time to time has made improvements which could not fail to be of valne to those who have laboured in this remote part of the Dominion. Some months ago the “Age* was presented as a twelve page weekly replete with adequate and accurate reports of all local gatherings and the doings of our public men. Ihe response from the settlers has been such that we have been able to make arrangements which will enable us-to take another step forward. To-day we publish the “Age” as a bi-weekly eight-page newspaper. In future our subscribers will receive the ‘Age” on Wednesday and Friday each week, when it will contain in addition to reports of local happenings, news from abroad having brief interesting accounts of world happenings, Au important feature of this progressive policy will be that each copy ol ihe - \ge” will be sold over the counter at twopence per copy and in cases where the paper is posted to subscribers the price will be twopence per copy with postage added. We trust with he advance mMt of tint 3 tint the day is not far distant when the “Age” will be published as a tri-weekly, and that it will continue to work in the interest of the advancement of the Northland and the betterment of its people.
