A £430 ’Phone Call.
Five hours and a-quarter of continuous ’talking over a distance of miles is the world’s record telephone call says the Daily News. It was made recently bv a special conference of the American Federation of Musicians in New f ork, to San Francisco. '1 he conversation continued for 315 minutes at a cost of about £430. The call resulted in the settlement of a strike dispute.
