Lady of Leisure Takes Trip South.
Board Problem Solved,
Before Mr C H Chissell, J.P., at the Whangarei Police Court on Saturday, Ada Alice Myers, alias Alice Brown, was charged with being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient lawful means ot support.
Senior-Sergeant O'Grady said the young woman had been loitering in Whangarei since September, and obtained board by concocting stories of the alleged financial means of herself and a sjpposed husband. She originally came from. Wellington to Auckland, and from there to Whangarei, Accqsed was convicted and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, and a five-months-old infant was taken from her with a view to committing it to a home.
