For Theft of Mailbag And

At the Hamilton Court yesterday, Harold Melville Taylor, aged 29, was charged with theft on September 3 ot a mailbag and contents, and with theft from postal packets of two cheques. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Hamilton Supreme Corn t. Over 20 witnesses will be called in the case, and sensational evidence will be tendered relative to the passing of the cheques. Accused admitted that he had previously been fined £2OO for the theft of rings.
