(To the Editor) Sir, — Allow me to comment I’lrotigh the mediums of your valuable columns, the deplorable state of affairs re the wandering of cattle througout the town area. It is quite common to see horses, cows and even sheep wandering bout Commerce Street at any 1 pur of the day and night. Several times 1 have bumped into a olray animal grazing on the footpath at night. Re the cow own- . is, who if unable to find a suit bly fenced section should try condensed milk. It is high tint the authorities did something ti emedy this nuisance, and prosecute the owners, whose motto evidently is “Let them go and they will come home with their tails behind them, plus a well-fi! - i-.d stomach to the detriment ol so mebody’s g r i- n. “Sufferer.”
