(To the Editor) Sir, —In connection wiih the report being circulated tha I refused to allow Mr. G. Wil inson to make an explanation ; t Mr. Sweeney’s meeting until co npelled to do so by Mr. Alex I ogan, I wish to give such report r i e:o- ---‘ phatic denial. I told Mr. /ilkiason that ho could reply o Mr. Robinson but not to take to long whereupon Mr. Wilkins' a sat down, remarking that I as a : '‘naughty boy”. I was war tgfor i Mr. Wilkinson to take adv. ttage of my permission to reply when Mr. Logan got up, arid 1 nder- ; stand it is now claimed 3 got Mr. Wilkinson a hearing.
