These tides .ire mathematically calculated to the formula of the British Admiralty, and are for the place of tide at Queen Street Wharf: a difference may be found between them and those natuiully produced from effect of winds and currents outside port limits. An easterly wind will retard the tide, and a westerly wind accelerate it, to the extent of thirty minutes. These influences must be noted and allowed for when refening to these tide tables.
