A special word of thanks is extended to the Maoris of Pukepoto who gave cattle. Aith«ugh the response was not so good as anticipated, it is realised some members who intended to give cattle were not able to get them to the sale. A further effort will be made for the sale next month so that th*se who offered cattle and were not able to get them in, also any members who did not respond but are willing to do ,so may have an opportunity of assisting in the preject.
