LOCAL BODY ACCOUNTS.
(To the Editor). Sir, —Why is it that local papers do not publish details of accounts passed for payment by local bodies such as the Mangonui County Council and Hospital Board? This is done inmany otherplaces, and as a ratepayer I claim to have a right to know how my money is spent. I have not time to visit the County offices and gather this information for myself and so I think it is up to you, sir, to let us have these details in your reports. I take it accounts are read and
