The position of the senior teams in the 0 local competition is as follows P. L. D. W. P. & T. 4013 Kaitaia 3 0 I 2 Houhora 3 2 0 I * Oruru 3 2 0 1 Takahue 3 3 0 0 On Saturday all football matches and tourneys at Kaitaia, excepting a junior game between Oruru and Kaitaia, were suspended. The ground was in a very wet state for the junior match, Kaitaia being the victors by 9 to nil. Kaitaia’s scores came by way of a penalty goal kicked by Charlie Masters and a try each by Clive Murdoch and V. Shrader. Othci junior results were:— Waipapakauri 12 v. Takahue B 6 Takahue A 12 v. A basket ball tournament will also be held, Kaitaia, Fairburn and Peria competing. By the donation of a cake for a weight guessing oompetition, Mrs. Jack Penney, of Mangonui, has enriched the Oruru Football Club by £5. Master Hubert Dacre was the winner of the competition. Playing at basket ball at Kaitaia last week the Pena school girls defeated Kaitaia by four goals to nil. At a meeting of the Rugby Uuion on Saturday nigt permission was granted | the P. & T. team to play a friendly match j with Whaogaroa at Kaeo on Saturday next. In connection with the playing ot certain men in the eompe'titions P. & T. delegates gave an assurance that in future their team would be confined to P. & T. men only. In reply to the local Union’s request for a visit from a junior rep. team the Whan- j garei Union has advised they will give a definite answer later in the season. Mr. O. Haigh has been appointed delegate from the Mangonui Rugby Union to the North Auckland Union. All acquisition to the Kaitaia senior team is Mr. C. B.
