Mr. and Mrs. A. F. McKenzie have taken up resilience in Kaitaia. Mr. J. W. Shannon, of Remuera, was a visitor to Kaitaia on Saturday. Mr. Chas. 1. Puckey, who has recently been confined to bed through illness, was well enough to attend the centemry celebrations on Saturday. His many friends were pleased to see him about again. Mr. and Mrs A. Gray left last week for Auckland cn rout- to Taranaki. Dr Averill, accompanied by the Yen. Archdeacon Hawkins, leave Russell lomorrow for Ancklani. Dr. Avcriil at. sumes the office ot Archbishop and Primate this month.
