MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Messrs L. H. Bell & J. H. Bedgood, J. P’s presided over the above Court at Kaitaia on Monday. Mr. J. McKay Lloyd, was charged with driving a Ford car in Commerce Street, on the 19th February, 1925, at a furious pace. Being the first case under the new Motor Vehicles Act 19’4 defendant was fined 10/- and costs 7/Dick Ropi and Tim Busby were charged with fighting in view of Commerce Street on the 21st Febuary and were fined 10/each with costs. Fred Finaly was charged with fighting at Ahipara on the 9th March and was fined 10 -and costs. Thomas Smith was charged with being disorderly while drunk on the 16th February, 1925, at Waipapakauri, and was fined 10/- and costs. Oti Robsnn was charged on the 14th February, 1925, at Waipapakauri, while drunk was guilty of disorderly behavior and was find 20/- and costs. Simon Busby was similarly charged as above, and was fined 20/- and costs. Three first offenders for drunkness were convicted and ordered to pay costs 17/each,
