Mr T. S. Houston left for Auckland, per Apanui, last Tuesday. The following were the passengers per Clansman from Auckland on the 6th inst.: Mesdames Chamberlin, Gray, Mcpherson, Blade, Wrathall, Williams, Clark and family ; Misses Pryde, Newth, Luke, Hazell, Denny; Messrs Tangye, Noble, Chamberlin, Thompson, Clouston, Miller, Wrathall, Williams, Kirtlan, Mottrain, Dennely, Rev Clark, Col. Allen Bell, M.P. Outward—Mrs Devine ; Misses Smith, Devine ; Messrs Pairman and child, Grubb, Devine, Hill.

Mr J. W. Jones, of “ Ngaheia,” Pakaraka, President of the Bay of Islands SubProvincial District of the Farmers’ Union, has been seriously ill with pneumonia, but is now convalescent.

Mr J. L. Davies, late Superinteudent of the Wireless here, is now Manager of Radio, Ltd., Auckland, a company dealing in wireless goods. Mr. W. Kirtlan, of Takahue, is home again, greatly improved since his operation.

Mr. and Mrs. Mat Ryan and family late of Waiharara, have taken up resid ence in their new house, in Kaitaia.

Mr. Tangye, of Mangonui, has returned from a trip to the Old Country, Canada and the States.

Mr. and Mrs. Devine and their daughter ave left for Auckland.

Mrs. J. Blade, accompanied by her daughter Alma (Mrs Williams) is visiting Kaitaia. Mrs. Vercamer is visiting the South.

Rev W. Elliott, M.A., has returned from the meeting of the Presbyterian General Assembly. Mrs Elliott will return to Kaitaia in about a month’s time.

Mr L. J. Matthews, o’' Taipa, has been in a private hospital in Auckland for three weeks. He is now home again, much benefited in health.

Mr. D. Archibald Jr., is in Mangonui Hospital, where he has been operated on for appendicitis.

Mr. M. P. Orbell is in Mangonui lospital.

Mr. Kershaw, of Diggers’ Valley, is making satisfactory, though slow, progress in the Mangonui Hospital.

Mr. Shirley Masters is in the M angonui Hospital, where he has been operated on for an old trouble.

Mr and Mrs R. D. McCully, of Rangiawhia, left last Thursday for the South Island, where they will spend six weeks' holiday, The following were the passengers, per Ngapuhi, from Auckland : Mrs Whittome ; Miss Williams; Messrs Whittome, Smythe, Churchill, Brown, Strathers, Tracey, Henderson, Albert, Matthews, Moore. Outward : Mesdames Johnson and child, Switzer, Levan, Thompson, McCully, Smail, Blade, Rutledge, Mills and 2 children, Heal; Misses Matthews (2), Queenin, Hill, McDonald, Johnson; Messrs Gardiner, Heal, Povey Maunder, McCully, White: Whittome, and Master Bissett.
