MR. A. L. WILLIS. PRESENTATION AT THE WIRELESS. That popular wireless officer, Mr. A. L. Willis, has been transferred to the Radio station at the Chatham Islands. He takes a well-earned spell in Auckland before finally leaving for his new station. His fellow officers at the Kaitaia Radio met Mr Willis on Wednesday evening, loth, to farewell him. Mr. J. L. Davies, Superintendent of the station, presided, and in his usual felicitous manner presented Mr. Willis with a handsome fountain pen on behalf of tfce Staff. He expressed their regret at losing such a good officer and comrade. He wished Mr. and Mrs. Willis health and prosperity in their sphere. Mrs. Willis was presented with a beautiful mirror. Mr. Willis feelingly responded. His stay in Kaitaia had been pleasent, and he appreciated greatly the goodwill of his brother officers. " 1.0.0. F. In a previous issue we chronicled the farewell by the 1.0.0. F. Mr. W iilis will be greatly missed by the Lodge. He was practically the only officer who had any previous knowledge of ritual and procedure. POSTAL STAFF. Before his departure the Postal Staff presented Mr. Willis with a pipe. The presentation was made by Mr. Bateman, who enlogised Mr. Willis, and expressed the regret of the staff at his departure.
