BUTTER-FAT PRICES
At a meeting of the South Auckland Dairy Association held on November 14, the following resolution was unanimously carried That the monthly advance be the same as last mouth’s payments, viz., Is.2d for butter, is. 4d. for cheese, and Is. 6d. for dried milk, and so soon as the sale of cheese and butter be concluded with the Imperial Government that the prices- be levelled up all round to a uniform rate to be agreed upon.” The Prime Minister lias been informed, on Thursday last, that the representatives of the butter-producers have decided to accept the ofler made by the Imperial Government for New Zealand's butter output. Considerable delay has occurred in making this decision, and, as the signing of the armistice has intervened, the bargain will not be regarded as completed so far as the Department of Imperial Supplies is concerned, until the Imperial authorities have replied to the producers’ acceptance. The price accepted is the one originally offered by the British Board of Trade more than a month ago.
