[To the Editor]
Sir, —In reply to “Onlooker” I wish h>m to understand my challenge was in connection with the accurcy of the report. The reason I suggested Fairburn must be obvious to any intelligent person. Those present at the meeting will be the judges if my challenge is accepted, and as they are chiefly Fairburn residents, why ask them to travel to Victoria. If Cr. Panther had accepted per medium of the Age all ratepayers in the county could have read the discusssion. I still maintain the report is correct and challenge anybody to prove otherwise and to get further proof respectfully solicit the opinion of the Cty. Chairman and] Cr. Garton, In conclusion I may add that Mr W. Prosser is willing to convey by waggon at an early date all the Councillors through the Mangatoitoi road in order that they may see for themselves the cause of the grievance I was so justified in ventilating at that Fairburn meeting when I spoke on behalf of the Mangatoitoi ratepayers. —I am etc., JOHN W. DAWSON.
