BARTON BROTHERS CIRCUS

COMING TO KAITAIA ON SATURDAY

The proprietors of Messrs Barton Brothers Circus hope the public of Kaitaia will not be misled as to the opening date of their new colossal circus and buckjumping exhibition, which takes place on Saturday next. They wish it thoroughly understood that they are in no way whatever connected with any other circus in the Dominion. Mr Barton wishes to state that each and every item on the programme is new to Kaitaia. The performance throughout is chock full of new and thrilling acts that are said to be a revelation in circusdom. The show includes a number of talented lady and gentlemen riders, acrobats, human snakes, wire walkers, head-to-head balancers, musical makes, patter comedians, aerial artists, bareback riders, talking horses, trick ponies, performing monkeys, bucking horse, ponies and mules. The speciality acts are too numerous to mention, to particularise, but judging by the comments of the northern and southern press the show far surpasses anything previously attempted by the Barton firm. There are thirty artists all told, and 60 horses and ponies including many trained thoroughbreds. Since last appearing in Kaitaia the Bartons have searched for and obtained many new artists. The public should not miss the street parade each day, headed by a full brass band under the baton of bandmaster McGuire. Particular attention is called to the date of opening this circus— Saturday, April 7th.
