FOOTBALL.
The N.Z, University Football Team. SYDNEY, July 11, The New Zealand University touring team of Rugby footballers met a fairly strong metropolitan combination to-day, but not the best thut could have been placed in the field. The visitors played a fine game during the first spell although a try was secured
against them and they failed to score themselves.
Grey was injured and Nuku replaced him in the second spell, the New Zealanders forcing the pace for a time. Dansoy kicked a goal from a mark and Brosnahan scored in a good position as the result of a dribbling rush between himself and Delamcre, but Dansey failed to add the major points. An easy shot from a mark by Nuku was miskicked by Dansey and then the visitors went all to pieces, the local players notching three tries in quick succession, ono of which was converted; the game thus ended in a win for the home team by 14 points to 6.
