County of Mangonui. Special Order Making By-Laws. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at the Ordinary Meeting of the Mnngonni County Conncil to be held in the Council Chambers, Mangonui, on FRIDAY, the 4th day of January, 1907, a Resolution will be submitted for the confirmation of the following Special Order made at a Special Meeting of the said Council on the 28th day of November, 1906, vis.:— BY-LAWS Wv For the Keeping of Public Billiard-rooms and to impose a license fee in respect thereof. In pursuance of the “ Counties Act, 1880,” and of the “ Counties Act Amendment Act, 1903-1904,” and of all other powers and authorities thereunder enabling, the Council of the Mangonui County Council (lo hereby make and ordain the following by-laws for the Mangonui County, that is to say:— Masters—Gillibrand— 1. That all Public Billiard-rooms within the boundaries of the Mangonui County shall be licensed. 2. That all applications for the licensing of any Public Billiard-room shall be forwarded to the Chairman of the Mangonui County. •3. That no room shall be licensed as a Public Billiard-room unless such room shall be approved by the Mangonui Council as being suitable for such purposes. And all licenses to be issuecl in respect of any such Billiard-rooi© shall be under the hand of the Chairman nnd seal of the County. 4. That the following fees shall be payable to the Mangonui County Council in respect of any Public Billiard-room within the County: 40/- for each room containing not more than one table. 80/. for each room containing two or more tables. 5. That any person using or allowing any unlicensed Public Billiardroom to be used within the boundaries of the Mangonui County shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £5. 6. That these by-laws shall come into force on the first day of February, 1907. A copy of the proposed by-laws is deposited at the office of the Council in Mangonui, and is open for inspection by the public during office hours until the 4 h day of January, 1907. W. J. Applications are invited by the Mangonui County Council from persons willing to fill the position of Collector of Gum and Vehicle Licenses and Dog Tax. Remuneration: Gum and Vehicle Licenses, 10 per cent.; Dog Collars 1/- each. Conditions may be seen at the County office.
