MAIDEN PLATE of 5 sovs„ second horse to receive £1 from stake. For horses that have never won a race. Nomination 2s 6d, acceptance 2s 6d. Distance, six furlongs. 2. FLYING HANDICAP of 10 so vs., second horse to receive 2 sovs. from stake. Nomination ss, acceptance ss. Distance, six furlongs. 3. SUMMER CUP of 6 sovs., second horse to receive 30s out of stake. For all horses that have never won more than £6 in any one race. Nomination 3s, acceptance 3s. Distance one mile. 4. PONY HANDICAP of 5 sovs, second horse to receive £1 from stakes. For Ponies 14.3 and under. Nomination 2s 6d, acceptance 2s 6d. Distance, six furloegs. 6. PARENGA CUP of £2O, second horse to receive £3 from stakes. Nomination 10s, acceptance 10s. Distance, one and a-half miles over six flights of hurdles three feet high. Rules and Regulations. 1. Races inn under the Rules of Racing. 2. No entry will he received for any of the races except on this condition :—That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall he decided by a majority of the stewardspresent, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme to he final. 3. Any Jockey riding except in colours entered shall be fined £l. 4. Any person failing to declare his colours at time of entry will be fined two sovereigns, unless the colours of the owner of the horse are duly registered. 5. Owners are responsible for all penalties and allowances. 6. The Club reserves the right to revise the programme prior to the date of the closing of the nominations, and to alter the date of the fixture, etc. 7. No nomination or acceptance will be received on any pretence whatsoever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. 8. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Parenga, name of horse, age at time of entry, pedigree, and previous twelve months’ performances of horse to accompany I all nominations. 9. Four entries in all events, or no second prize. 10. The Stewards reserve the right of imposing a penalty not exceeding ten pounds on any winning horse. 11. Nominations for all events close with the Secretary on Friday, January 4th, at 8 p.m. Handicaps declared on Monday, January 7th. Acceptances close on Thursday, January 10th, at 8 p.m. 12. All Bookmakers doing business on the course shall pay a license fee of one guinea; but the Committee reserve the right to refuse any such person a permit they might consider unsatisfactory. 13.
