ffiuftlic Notices, NEW ZEALAND GENERAL TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY. The position which Oampbelltown (Bluff Harbour) occupies as the first port of arrival, and last of departure, for the Bteamers carrying her Majesty's English and Australian Mails, as well as its growing importance as a port of call for sailing vessels of large tonnage, and the fact that it is the southern terminus of the New Zealand Telegraph system, and the railways already initiated in Southland, which eventually will traverse the whole of the Middle Island, has induced us to establish at this point a GENERAL TELEGRAPH AGENCY. The objects we have in view are threefold : — Firstly — Receiving and transacting all Mercantile Business in which the Telegraphio wire may be called into requisition. Secondly— Supplying the Presß throughout New Zealand with the latest English and Australasian Intelligence, including the state of Markets, Shipping, and General News from all parts of the Colonies. Thirdly— Transacting Telegraphic Business of a miscellaneous character for the public at large. Tho marked success which has attended like undertakiugs, both in Europe and the Colonies, when conducted with energy and intelligence, and the long experience of the projectors in Mercantile business, and their thorough knowledge of the duties of a Press Correspondent, combined with a determination to devote their whole attention to tho Agency, embolden them to solicit public patronage. A wide-spread system of Telegraphio Agencies has been formed throughout the whole of the Australian Colonies, in connection with the "NEW ZEALAND GENERAL TELEGRAPHIO AGENCY." The strictest secrecy, together with promptitute and accuracy in all affairs intrusted to us, may be relied on. Head Oppices: CAMPBELLTOWN, Southland, New Zealand. The following are the principal Agencies :— Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Launccston, Galle, Alexandria, Malta, Marseilles, Paris, and London. 1616 FitzGbbald and Co.
