At Admiralty House, Port Horal, Jamacia, on the 2nd August, Commodore Peter Cracroft, R.N., C.8., in the soth year or his age. The memory of this brave officer will be long cherished in New Zealand, particularly at Taranaki, where he gallantly led his men to the assistance of the handful of militia surrounded by rebels at Wareka, after they had been abandoned to their fate for the night by the officer in command of the military. On the 20th November, at her residence', Collingwood-street, the wife of Mr. A. Pnrmenter, aged 33 years. Ou November 24, Air. Thomas Stewart, of Nelson, aged 85. On the 27th November, at Hokitika, after a ehort illness, Mr. Alexander Ogg, formerly of Nelson, and late of Invercargill, Haveloek, 4c. On the 27th November, at Picton, T. G. Baillie, Esq., late Koyal Navy, aged 36 years. On the 4th December, Mr. Thomaß Sullivan, aged sixty-seven years. The deceased was one of the oldest members of the Order of Odd-Fellows in New Zealand, as well as being a Freemason of long standing. In the promotion of both these Societies he always took an active part, and was highly respected among his brethren. On the 4th December, at his residence, Washington-valley, of pleuriiy, Mr. Hector Mathieion (late of Taranjtki), aged 34 years.
