To the Editor of the c Nelson Examinee.'
Slit — Would you allow me to draw attention to the dangerous and unneighbourly practice of poisoning dogs, and to ask your opinion whether it is not illegul. The law surely provides means of abating any nuisance caused by dogs, and even were it not so, nothing can justify the laying about of poison in places where fatal consequences might be the result, uot only to brute but human life. I consider it only a duty which every one owes to society to endeavour to prohibit the above disgraceful practice. I am, &c, A Suffeeek.
