Correspondence.
To the Editor oi? the • Nelson Examines.' Sib — Many addresses have been sent to Her Majesty from many different bodies of men. We on the outskirts of her empire are not less loyal, nor less grateful for the benefits the late Prince conferred upon the nation by his good deeds and high example as Christian, gentleman, husband, and father. Our beloved Queen, although sovereign of an empire on which the sun never sets, was a happy wife, is now a widow. May be the knowledge that her husband was appreciated even at the antipodes, and that her people love her more in grief fhan in prosperity, more even as a woman than as a Queen, would be acceptable. Sympathy. To the Editor of the ' Nelson Examiner.' Sib— Allow me to ask you to impress on the Local Government the propriety of establishing drinking fountains in this our good city (?) of Nelson. I think the suggestion not a bad one, and I am sure you will do the subject fuller justice than I can. I am, &c., Aqua.
