An allowance of 4 lbs. will be made to all horses brought from the other provinces of New Zealand to run at this meeting. No person not a subscriber of Two Guineas to the fund will be allowed to enter a horse for any race. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer, on the Monday following the raceß, at the Trafalgar Hotel, at Eleven o'clock, a.m. Entries (excepting for the Scurry Plate, Handicap Sweepstakes, Consolation Plate, and Forced Handicap) to be made, and colours of the riders declared, under a sealed cover, to the Secretary of the Turf Club, at the Trafalgar Hotel, at or before Six o'clock, p.m., on the evening of Thursday, the 28th of March. No public money will be added to the sweepstakes by the Stewards, unless two horses, the bonaflde property of separate owners, do start. A bell will ring for saddling, and another for starting ; not more than five minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be started.
