The Eclipse (barque), Auckland to London, put into Cowes December 30, with loss of bowsprit, jibboom, and head-gear, having been in collision with the Saxonia (s.s.) from New York to Cowes. She reached Gravesend on January 8. — Home News. The Rhea Sylvia, one of the line of clippers established by Mesßrs. Miles, Brothers, and Co., of Bristol, under the auspices of the New Zealand Emigration Commissioners, Bailed on January 12 for Canterbury, from Bristol. She takes out nineteen chief cabin and 116 second cabin and steerage passengers, the emigrants being chiefly of the agricultural class, and a valuable cargo of mixed merchandise. The Rhea Sylvia was inspected before starting on her voyage by Captain Lean, chief emigration officer of the port of London, and Mr. Selfe, of the Thames Police-court.-- Id. j The well-known White Star clipper Red Jacket I will sail for Melbourne from Liverpool on the 29th January. During her numerous voyages she has sailed over 250,000 miles, has carried over 5,500 passengers in safety, and lias brought home from Melbourne upwards of 800,000 ounces of gold, representing ft value of about three million pound* iterlmg.—
