Bounded to the northward by the dividing range between the revers Clarence and Awatero; southward by the river Clarence ; eastward by the lake Mcßae and the run applied for by George Williams, Esq. ; and extending as far westward or up the river Clarence as will make ten thousand acres. Deposit paid— £ls. Roderick Mcßae District — The Clarence. Bounded on the eastward by Mr. Ward's western boundary ; northward by the river Clarence ; southward by the seaward Kaikoras; westward as far as will make twenty thousand acres. Deposit paid— £3o. William Robinson District—The Clarence. For ten thousand acrea of land, immediately east of the ten thousand acres previously applied for by him, and bounded on the north and east by the Clarence, and south by Wm. Mcßae's run ; provided there be that amount of additional land within those boundaries not previously applied for. Deposit paid— £ls. Thos. Wm. Stone District— The Grey. Bounded on the south by the Ahaura, or second easterly branch of the Mawhera or Grey ; on the west by the Grey ; and running about six miles nortli of the third easterly branch of the river Grey. Estimated extent— 6o,ooo* acres. Deposit paid £50. P. R. Mcßae aud District— The Grey. W. H.Bur6ill. Bounded on the south by the river Grey, commencing at a point opposite the junction of the rivers Haura and Grey; and following the course of the Grey npwards for twenty miles, by three miles in breadth. Estimated extent— 3s,ooo acres. Deposit paid— £so. John Rochfort and District— The Grey. Edward Fenron. Bounded on the east by tho Mawhera-iti ; on the west by the Papa Roha range ; commencing one mile above the junction of the Mawhera-iti and the Mawhera, and following the former up for fourteen miles; and bounded on the north and south by a line drawn at right angles to the general course of the river Mawhera-iti (more defined boundaries to be given hereafter) ; to comprise fifty thousand acres. Deposit paid— £so. W. H. Bursill and District— The Grey. P. R. Mcßae. Bounded on the north by the third easterly branch of the J Mawhera or Grey ; on the east by a hue drawn parallel to the ! Grey, commencing about ten I miles along the third easterly i branch of the Grey, from the [ point where it joins the Grey, and running back to the bush | at the foot of the hill. Estimated extent— lo,ooo acres. Deposit paid— £ls. T. C. Howard. . District— The Awatere. Bounded on the south-west by the stream called the "Bolton;" south-east by the river Awatere ; north-east by the White Bluff Creek ; north-west by the top of the mountain range which divides the Awatero from the Wairau district. Estimated extent — 9,900 acres. Deposit — £15. John Sharp . . District— The Amuri. Bounded on the north by the rivers Hope and Wai-au-ua; on the east by a line running due south for three-and-half miles, the line commencing about a mile below the junction of the Kakapo Creek with the Wai-au-ua ; on the south-west by a line running up the Kiwi Creek. Estimated extent— 2o,ooo acres. Deposit paid— £3o. Thos. Brunner. . District— The Amuri. Bounded on the northward by the rivers Hope and Wai-au-ua or Dillon ; eastward by a line running due south to the extreme limit of the available country, and commencing on. the banks of the river Dillon (Wai-au-ua), at a point half-a-mile eastward of the junction of the Kakapo with the said river; southward by the line of available country on the south bank of the river Dillon ; and westward by a line running due south from the northward to the southward boundary, at a distance from the eastward boundary to make the required acreage of ten thousand acres. Deposit paid — £15. Thoi. Brunner . District— The Amuri. Bounded on the northward by the limit of available country on the north bank of the river Wai-au-uaor Dillon; eastward by a line running due north to the limit of the available country, and commencing on the banks of the river Dillon, at a point about ten miles west of the junction of the Hanmer with the Dillon ; southward by the river Dillon or Wai-au-ua ; and westward by a line running due north from the banks of the Dillon to the limit of the available country, and at a distance from the eastward bound- ; ary to give the required acreage. Estimated extent — 10,000 acres. Deposit paid— £ls. It is to be distinctly understood that the acceptance and publication of the above applications confer no rights whatever upon the respective applicants to any land included in their applications which maybe identical with land included in prior and valid applications.
