The Working Men's Testimonial to Sir. Robert Peel. — A deputation from the acting committee had an interview on Tuesday at the Admiralty with Sir James Grabam, Sir E. Ryan, the Right Honourable E. Strutt, and Mr. Groat, to consider and discuss the clauses of the draft deed whereby the fund subscribed by upwards of 400,000 working men of tbe United Kingdom is to be invested in the London Uuiversity College for educational purposes. When this interesting testimonial is completed, it is intended to present a copy, framed and glased, to her Majesty, to the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum, the corporation of London, and certain literary and scientific institutions. The object is to apply the interest of the fund subscribed, under the direction of the college, in the purchase of useful literature for the working classes, which is to be presented annually to various mechanics' and literary institutions throughout the United Kingdom. Lebenyi was executed at Vienna on Saturday, seven days after his attack on the Emperor of Austria. His repeated examinations disclosed nothing to implicate others in tbe guilt i of the act for which he suffered.

Transportation. — The Duke of Newcastle, in reply to a question lately put by the Bishop of Manchester, stated that the convicts in the hulks at Bermuda would shortly be placed on the same footing as those who were now in tbe new prison. Until recently the greater portion of the convicts at Bermuda had been in prison on board the hulks, but the present governor a year or two ago had purchased ground for the erection of a new prison for the convicts, which was now so far completed that 300 of the convicts, hitherto confined on board the hulks, had been removed into it. In answer to Lord Campbell, the Ouke of Newcastle also said he could not but believe that it would be necessary before long to bring the punishment of transportation to 8 cloae.
