No person not a subscriber of One Guinea to the fund will be allowed to enter a horse for any race except the Hack Stakes and Wairau Plate ; nor for the la:ter races, unless a subscriber to the amount of Ten Shillings. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer on the Monday following the races, at the Wakatu Hotel, at Eleven o'clock. All horses (except for the Hack Stakes, Wairau Plate, and Consolation Plate) to be named, and, colours of the riders declared, under a sealed cover, to the Secretary of the Turf Club, at the Wakatu Hotel, on or before Seven o'clock on tbe evening of Friday, the Ist of March. Horses for the Hack Stakes and Wairau Plate to be entered on the ground. No other post entries allowed. The Rules of the "Nelson Turf Club" will be strictly enforced. No money will be given by the Stewards unless two horses, the bonafide property of separate persons, do start. A bell will ring for saddling, and another for starting ; not more thai five minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be started. Horses to be at the post for the Turf Club Plate, and Tallyho Plate, at Twelve o'clock on each day. All persons are requested not to bring dogs On the course. By permission of the owners of the land, no person will be permitted to erect a booth on the course for the sale of refreshments, who is not a subscriber of One Guinea to the fund.
