ELSON AGRICULTURAL & HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.— The ADJOURNED ANNUAL MftETING of the subscribers and members of the above society will be held at the Institution on WEDNESDAY, the 13th instant, at Twelve o'clock, for the transaction of business. /EjEWARD.— STOLEN or STRAYED, THREE HEIFERS, branded * on the off rurop, with no other brand on them, imported in the barque Essex, and the property of the undersigned ; supposed to hare been driven from the Waimea Plain with other cattle, and to have calved ere this. Any person or persons who will deliver the said three heifers or any of them to the undersigned, at his station on the Waimea, will receive a reward of One Pound (jgl) sterling per head for the heifers, and Ten Shillings (10s.) sterling for each of the calves. Any person or persons who shall give such evidence as shall lead to the conviction of any person or persons of having feloniously detained any or all of the said heifers, shall, upon conviction of the delinquent, receive a reward of Five Pounds (jtfs) sterling. #gton, Waimea, May 22. George Duppa. .OSPECTUS. — The public are respectfully informed that on Saturday the 7th June next, will be published the first number of THE NEW ZEALANDER, to be continued every Saturday, and regularly forwarded to the other settlements in this colony : and likewise to New South Wales, Van Diemen's Land, South Australia, and to England and America. Teems of Subscription.— Six Shillings and Sixpence per quarter, to be paid in advance to insure regular delivery at the residence of subscribers. Subscriptions can be commenced at any period of a current quarter, and subscribers will only be charged for the number of weeks remaining of the quarter. Orders to discontinue must be written. The price per number Sixpence. Tebms or Advertisements.— Eight lines and under, Two Shillings and Sixpence, and two-pence for each additional line measured. For subsequent insertions only half price will be charged. The number of insertions must be written on the manuscript order of the advertisement. No verbal communication respecting the insertion, withdrawal, or alteration of advertisements, will be attended to. Advertisements are requested to be sent to the publisher before noon on Friday.
