CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editor of the Nelson Examiner.
Sir — Having heard that there is a Debating Society instituted in Nelson, I have taken the liberty of writing to you to ascertain if it be true, and, if so, in what part of the town its meetings are held. As I think such a society would be of great utility to the young men of Nelson, I sincerely hope that what I have heard may be true. Trusting that you will oblige me with the desired information, or, if that is not in your power, that you will insert this in your next paper, I am, sir, The Colony's well-wisher, Honestas. [We have never heard of the society of which our correspondent writes; but we perceive by Mr. Ferrers' advertisement that there is a debating class at his school, which holds its meetings on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, and this has probably given rise to the report. — Ed.]
