POLICE INTELLIGENCE.
On Saturday last, William Williams, a sawyer, working at the Motuaka, was brought before G. White, Esq., the acting Police Magistrate, charged with naving taken possession of the property of Charles Pound, deceased, whose death, by the falling of a tree, we recorded a* few weeks since. It appeared from the evidence thatWilliamff had taken the property in question, alleging that it was his, and it \tas proved that part of it had been purchased by him. The ease was remanded until Tuesday, and then dismissed.
