OBITUARY
MR k. W. GIBBS The death has occurred in Wellington of Mr Richard W. Gib bs. From March 1924, to April, 1945, Mr Gibbs was a shareholders’ representative on the board of directors of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr Gibbs was born in London in 1860 and came to New Zealand in 1877. Mr Gibbs was associated with the Bank of New Zealand for 68 years. After being manager of branches of the bank in Motueka, Timaru and Dunedin, "he was appointed an inspector. Mr Gibbs was Government Auditor from 1919 to 1924. Mr Gibbs leaves three daughters, Mrs Smith, wife of Mr Justice Smith, Wellington. and Mrs Guy Batham and Mrs Skinner, both of Dunedin. Mrs Gibbs died 20 years ago. Mr F. G. Gibbs and Dr S. A. Gibbs of Nelson are brothers.
